At the end of the doctoral thesis, everyone asks themselves where they see their future: Maybe in research, in industry, in project management or even in publishing? In our small online workshop on “Career in Publishing?” more than 20 doctoral and postdoctoral researchers got the opportunity to discuss the latter with our guest Dr. Philip Lössl.

After studying biochemistry with subsequent doctorate, Philip decided to pursue a career as an editor at Nature Communications. In the interactive online workshop Philip gave us an insight into his daily work routine, his motives for pursuing a career in publishing, which strengths are beneficial in this job and how one gets such job.
