Events – graduate program

To enable PhD students to develop scientific knowledge, soft skills and understanding to get an independent-working motivated neuroscientist competetive with others in the field, we and our partners offer a broad range of events.

Scientific Events

The CBBS graduate program keeps you informed about scientific events organized by us and our partners. Just register and receive regular e-mail alerts and subscribe to our event calendar. Activities are also accessible directly through our members:

The Otto-von-Guericke Graduate Academy is the central service unit for all doctoral students at the Otto von Guericke University. Information and advice is offered to all doctoral students and their supervisors, and courses on scientific writing and presenting, project management, and career planning take place regularly throughout the year. A special focus is on the support of young women in science.

The LIN PhD program provides information and support tailored for students working at the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology. They provide softskill lectures monthly, which can be attended by all doctoral students from the Otto von Guericke University.

Internal Meetings

For our members we also offer the CBBS GP Ringlecture about state-of-the-art methods used in neuroscience, including discussions about problems in the daily-lab-routine of our students (e.g. statistical analyses).

Moreover, every member is welcome to join the cbbs gp annual meetings.

Social Events

We will inform all our members for upcoming BBQs and get-togethers, organized by our PhD representatives.
